New Charcoal Drawing Classes beginning on Monday

 

I am happy to announce that I am now conducting drawing classes on Mondays at 1PM at Michael's in Katy. Cost: $25 + Materials. You will need a 9" X 12" Sketchbook and a Kohinoor Gioconda Drawing kit. This week we will draw this lovely vase of flowers.

 

 

 

In the Adult Beginner Acrylic Painting class we will paint "Winter Shadows". This is a lovely snowy landscape scene.  

Palette to be used: Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium yellow medium, Thalo blue, Cadmium red light, and Titanium white.

Class begins at 3PM.

 

 

Kids Class is at 5:30PM. This week we will paint "Corona Sunset". Colors used are

Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Red Light, Titanium White, Alizarin Crimson, Cerulean Blue, and Cad Yellow Light

 

 All classes require registration either at Michael's in Katy (Westheimer & Grand Parkway) or at michaels.com

Paintings of the Week

 

In  honor of the season, we will paint this "Pumpkin Patch" on Monday in the beginners' acrylic painting class at 3PM at Michael's in Katy. Sign up now at michaels.com

In the Kids' Class at 5:30, we will paint "Swimming Dolphins". Colors used are Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cad. Yellow Med., Cad. Yellow Light, Cad. Red Light, Titanium White, and Alizarin Crimson. Register for  class now at michaels.com

Paintings of the Week

There is a change in schedule this week. We were to begin our charcoal drawing class but I do not have the correct paperwork to begin. So I will make an announcement as to when I get the paperwork and we can begin drawing together.

 

The beginners' painting class will be on Monday at 3PM. This Monday we will practice cloud painting. The painting we will make will be a bit different than the example. We will use ocean sponges to create a beautiful sunset called "Edge of Night". Colors used are Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Cad. Yellow Med., Cad. Red Light, Thalo Blue, Alizarin Crimson, and Cad. Yellow Light. Registration is required. You can register at the store, Michaels in Katy, or online at michaels.com  

 

 

 

 

 

In the kids' painting class we will also use ocean sponges in painting this "Black & White Puppy". Colors used are Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Cad. Yellow Med., Cad. Red Light, Burnt Sienna and Raw Umber. Class begins at 5:30PM on Monday. Registration is required either at the store, Michaels in Katy, or online at michaels.com

October 13 will be the next painting class - Big savings today!

 

I will be on vacation the week of Oct. 7, so the next painting classes will be on Monday, October 13. Please sign up well in advance.  All classes are currently on sale for 25% off Oct. 2-4 only.

In the beginners' acrylic painting class we will paint "Colorado Colors". Bring a good palette knife and these paint colors: Yellow Ochre, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Titanium White, Cad. Red Light, Hooker's Green and Cad. Yellow Med. Class begins at 3PM.

Also on October 13 in the kids' painting class we will be painting this lovely sunflower. Bring a pencil plus these colors: Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White, Cad. Red Light, Cad. Yellow Med., Cad. Yellow Light, Hooker's Green and Alizarin Crimson. Class begins at 5:30PM. Ages 6-15 are welcome.
